JAMB clears the doubts concerning reading texts for JAMB 2024
According to JAMB, the Board is aware of the concern regarding whether the inclusion of questions from the text “Sweet Sixteen” and certain other required texts in Arabic, Hausa, Igbo, and English literature in the 2024 mock-UTME signifies a replacement of the selected reading text “The Life Changer” and other required texts.
The Board states that the mix-up was not an error but an attempt to up our game against emerging issues.
Candidates should be aware that the text for the Use of-English paper for the 2024 JAMB remains “The Life Changer” by Khadija Abubakar Jalli, ZAMGIST have made the book available for free download by clicking here, while the remaining books are:

As a result, candidates are required to read “The Life Changer,” which is included in the syllabus and was sent to each and every applicant who registered for the 2024 JAMB UTME.
They must also follow the same instructions for every other subject that the syllabus specifies.
Note that the purpose of the mock exam is primarily for candidates to become accustomed to the CBT setting and for the Board to determine the candidates’ readiness for the main UTME, which 1,985,642 candidates have registered for and is scheduled to start on Friday, April 19, 2024.
For emphasis, “The Life Changer” is still the authorized reading material for the 2024 UTME Use of English, which is required of all applicants regardless of the subjects they choose to study.
It is important to highlight that the Board sent the reading material via a QR code that was embedded in each candidate’s email address and profile, among other places, in an effort to lessen the financial strain that the high expense of printing materials was placing on them.
Therefore, in order to prepare for the 2024 UTME, candidates should read the literature mentioned above.
