Born in Sokoto with family ties to Niger Republic, Zainab grew up in Sokoto state. Here, she completed her early education, attending both primary and secondary schools.
Her entry into the world of acting was facilitated by her brother, who introduced her to renowned director Aminu Saira.
With the backing of her supportive parents, Zainab was encouraged to follow her passion and join the Kannywood movie industry.
Zainab’s debut in the Kannywood scene came through her role in the Labarina series.
She shared with BBC Hausa that acting had always been a dream of hers since childhood, a dream that stayed with her until she finally made her mark in Kannywood.
