The National Examination Council (NECO) has made some important changes to its Senior School Certificate Examination (External) timetable due to the upcoming Ondo State governorship election on November 16, 2024.
To ensure a smooth examination process, NECO adjusted the timetable to avoid conflicts with the election date. If you’re a candidate, make sure to review the revised timetable, which is now available, and cross-check any changes for the affected dates against the original schedule.
Here are some Important Dates to keep in mind:
- Standard Registration Deadline*: November 6, 2024
- Late Registration Starts*: November 7, 2024 (additional fees apply)

The adjusted timetable is now available and should be reviewed alongside the original timetable. Be sure to check the changes for Saturday, 16th November.
Additional news remains that the important registration deadlines remain as follows: standard registration closes on 6th November 2024, with late registration commencing on 7th November.
“Walk-in registration will be available from 13th November, both of which will attract additional fees.
Examination candidates are advised to act promptly and stay informed to avoid any last-minute inconveniences.
“The registration deadline for the SSCE External Examination is 6th November 2024. Late registration starts on the 7th November, and walk-in registration begins on the 13th November. Both attract a fee.”
