It is almost three months that academic activities have been suspended because schools have shutdown since March 23, 2020 due to the advent of COVID-19 pandemic.
Various education stakeholders have called on the federal government to declare an order the reopening of schools which the government has continue to post date.
While briefing the citizens, the Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force has make it public that all civil servants in the state are to resume work fully on Monday, June 22, 2020.
As posted on the Oyo State Facebook Page, The Chairman of Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force also announced the reopening schools in the state.
According to the information posted on the Oyo State Facebook Page, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor confirms that the reopening of schools date is June 29, 2020.
He said, only pupils and students in final classes (Primary six, Junior Secondary School JSS 3 and Senior Secondary School SSS 3) are allowed to resume.
Report made it known that the purpose of the pupils and students in critical classes resuming is to ensure that they are well prepared for the external examinations.
