Joshua Oluwayemi Biography: Joshua Oluwayemi (born March 13, 2001), also known as Josh Oluwayemi, is a Nigerian goalkeeper who now plays for Tottenham Hotspur Under 23 and the Nigeria national team.

Josh Oluwayemi, a goalkeeper, progressed through the Tottenham Hotspur Academy before joining National League team Maidenhead United on loan in October 2020, where he lasted until January 2021.

Joshua Oluwayemi is descended from a long line of goalkeepers. His father, Biodun Ogunyemi, was a goalkeeper for FGC Odogbolu and Ogun State University.

He grew up in Harold Hill, England, and went to Hornchurch’s Emerson Park Academy. He was born in Waltham Forest, London, England, and went to Hornchurch’s Emerson Park Academy.

In 2017, he joined Tottenham Hotspur’s youth team, followed a year later by his younger brother Tobi Oluwayemi. Tobi joined Celtic in 2020 after both of his brothers were goalkeepers for the same club’s youth teams.

Joshua came through the Tottenham youth system before signing a six-month loan with Maidenhead FC in January.
He appeared in 13 games last season.

In the final part of the season, he was promoted to the Tottenham senior squad, where he remained until the end of the season.

Josh also participated in two games in the Under-18 Premier League Cup and the FA Youth Cup during that season, as well as three times in the UEFA Youth League as a substitute goalkeeper for Spurs Under-19s.

He represented England at the Under-16 and Under-15 levels, as well as making one appearance for our Under-18s in 2016/17.
